Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?
No. Each image tool decodes, transforms, and re-encodes via the Canvas API in your browser tab. The pixels never reach a server.
Which formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WebP for every image tool. The original file's format is detected automatically; the output format is always your choice.
Is there a maximum file size?
Yes — 64 MB per image. The limit keeps tab memory predictable on lower-end devices.
Will I lose quality?
Resizing and cropping use high-quality canvas filtering. JPG and WebP let you set quality from 10 to 100 (90 is a sensible default). PNG re-encoding is lossless.
Does EXIF or GPS data leak when I share an image?
It can — most cameras and phones embed location and device metadata. The Strip Metadata tool removes EXIF, GPS, ICC, IPTC, and XMP markers locally before you save the cleaned copy.
